Join us for Souper Fridays April 11 & 25

Comfort food and the history of this area are the themes of two upcoming events at Marilla Museum & Pioneer Place. The events are scheduled for two Fridays, April 11 & 25, 5-7 p.m. at the Marilla Township Hall, 9991 Marilla Road, Copemish, MI.

Enjoy a self-guided tour of the main Museum and a savory 4-course meal. There will be a historical presentation by Museum Archivist, Jan Thomas, on the heyday of the General Store/Post Office. Treat your taste buds to fresh-made cuisine! Here is the menu for this event:

• Your choice of either New England Clam Chowder or White Bean, Kale & Ditalini Soup
• German Yeast Bread & Salted Butter
• Green Bean, Asparagus, Edamame Salad with Dill Vinaigrette & Salted Almonds
• Red Velvet Cookie Bars

Enjoy a self-guided tour of the main Museum and a savory 4-course meal. At the April 25 event, Marilla resident and newly-published author, Allen O’Shea, will share intriguing aspects of his book, “The Invisible Children of Manzie,” a surprising journey involving fantasy, history and reality set in northern Michigan. Treat your taste buds to fresh-made cuisine! Here is the menu for this event: 

• Your choice of either Creamy Chicken & Mushroom Soup or Savory Minestrone Soup
• Baby Dinner Rolls
• French Bistro Salad
• Chocolate Cream Pie Dessert Cups

Minimum suggested free-will donation is $15 per person. All proceeds benefit Marilla Museum & Pioneer Place.
